Phillipines 2017

After bringing together a team of two dentists, two doctors, and several volunteers, the group set off with a busy schedule aimed at providing practical, medical, and spiritual support. Hosted by God’s Children’s Home (GCH), the team was deeply moved by the host community’s hospitality and spirit. The hosts generously shared their homegrown meals, gave up their own beds for the volunteers, and even went lobster hunting to welcome them.

Throughout the trip, the team delivered essential care across several intense projects. They ran packed medical and dental clinics and set up clean water filtration systems to address serious local health concerns. They also visited three prisons, providing hygiene supplies, dental relief, and ministry. Additionally, the team led leadership teaching sessions, adapted their schedule through prayer to visit the remote island of Santa Monica, and offered support to local agricultural efforts like the River of Life Ministry.

Despite demanding days and long patient queues, the team found deep joy and encouragement in the experience. Evening boat rides back to GCH provided restful moments to recharge, culminating in a well-deserved rest in the waters of Santa Monica.
