NEPAL PRAYER LETTER – OCTOBER 2015

NEPAL PRAYER LETTER – OCTOBER 2015

Pray for Nepal:

  • Pray for the political crisis between Nepal and India. The shortage of fuel in Nepal remains critical.
  • Pray for the newly elected president and the Nepali government to lead the country in this difficult time.
  • The reconstruction work after the disastrous earthquake in April 2015.
  • Winter is approaching and people will need improved shelter to cope with the bitter weather.
  • Pray for the clean water supply and sanitation for the country.
  • A million children are without proper classroom facilities. Following the quake they are more vulnerable to child labour, child trafficking and child marriage – continued education is vital for a safe, prosperous, future.

Pray for the trip and the team:

  • Due to the shortage of material, the cost of a shelter is doubled now. The good news is that Pastor John's team have already build 80 home shelter homes.
  • The team is assisting the locals to set up the foundations of the shelters. The site is located near Banepa, but due to the poor condition of the road, the team is required to walk to the building site. Please pray for our safety and health.
  • Pray for the young adult conference. We will be outreaching to 700 young adults. Pray that their hearts are opened and ready to encounter the Holy Spirit.
  • Pray for the bonding of the team and we can serve together as one.
  • Pray for our local partners: Pastor Suman (our host in Kathmandu), Pastor NP (our host in Benapa) and Ps Pradhan (Pastor NP's son).

The Nepal 2015 missions team will be heading out on the 7th November 2015. Please continue to keep the current situation in Nepal, our local partners and our team as they enter the final stages of preparation.

Blessings,

the BLi team
